Position:  Aerial and Satellite Engineer

Area:  Edinburgh, Lothians and central belt

Job Type:  Full time employment

Description:  We seeking to recruit an experienced IRS installation and service engineer.  The applicant will have experience with the installation, testing & maintenance of Aerials, Satellite and SkyQ systems.  Some experience with Fibre IRS would be beneficial to the applicant but not essential.

The applicants work must always be carried out to a high standard in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. 

The main responsibilities (which will be supervised and training provided for) will include:

• Investigating faults and carrying out repairs
• Carrying out installations of new / upgrades to television and satellite system
• Meeting appropriate safety requirements, including requirements to work on building sites (CSCS requirements)
• Liaising with customers and ensuring quality works are completed to satisfaction and service levels
• Completing paperwork and reporting to management team

The applicant must have good communication skills.

Additional Information: The applicant would benefit from holding a safety at heights certificate - CSCS card/Heights.  Asbestos awareness training is beneficial. Full training is available.  Works van provided

• Receive necessary training if not already certified for asbestos awareness, working at heights, company induction, etc.

Position:  Door Entry/Aerial Apprentice 

Eden Group was established in 1958 and has grown and developed long standing relationships with our customers.   We are recruiting for a door entry / aerial installation apprentice who is capable of demonstrating an attitude towards delivering quality repairs and installations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out service calls and installation work in and around the Edinburgh area, occasionally this may be further afield.  This will be supervised for the duration of the training period (typically 3 years). The successful candidate must be hard working, able to deliver a high level of customer service, and be dedicated to gaining a developed knowledge of door entry and aerial systems.

The ,main responsibilities (which will be supervised and training provided for) will include:

• Investigating faults and carrying out repairs
• Carrying out installations of new / upgrades to door entry / television aerials
• Meeting appropriate safety requirements, including requirements to work on building sites (CSCS requirements)
• Liaising with customers and ensuring quality works are completed to satisfaction
• Completing paperwork and reporting to management team

As well as expert knowledge with door entry and television aerials and satellite systems, work in other areas includes:

• access control systems
• CCTV / CCTV IP systems

Candidates must have:

• A strong customer focus and be willing to learn on the job
• A lean driving licence  is preferable as this can provide opportunities on completion of the apprenticeship
• Be comfortable working at heights
